One way to get traffic from Amazon is to publish books. That might seem like a crazy idea, but it really works. You just must know what you’re doing and how to do it and do it right. Let’s look at the ways in which you can get traffic from publishing books on Amazon.
Set Up Your Author’s Page All the Way
In order to ensure that you can use Amazon to send traffic to your website and landing pages, be sure to set up your author’s page all the way. Just like you would any of your social media profiles. One thing that Amazon’s author page allows is to set up a feed from your blog to appear right on your author page. Ensure that you set that up, too. This is a great way to help people find your website.
Add a nice picture that demonstrates your branding in headshot form. You don’t have to go pay a bunch of money for a headshot but do make sure it looks nice and professional. After all, you are an author now. Be sure to also claim every book you’ve published. They won’t show up under your author page automatically. You will have to claim them as yours.
Also, ensure that you fill out your profile or “about” area so that your audience will know what type of work you do. They can even click a “follow” button on your author page to get updates about new books that you publish.
Publish the Right Kind of Books Regularly
Finally, once the author page is set up, start publishing books in your genre that fits your niche. Remember a kindle book doesn’t have to be that long. You can publish short books or long books – it’s up to you. The important factor is what’s inside.
In the pages of your Kindle book, you want to ensure that you include plenty of links with incentives for them to go to your site. Not everyone uses the kind of Kindle that enables them to click and go to a website, so make the link easy to remember after viewing so that they can get on their computer or use their phone to get to that site and grab their freebie for reading your book. Now they’re on your email list.
As you can see, there are many ways to help people find you. But you must be where they go. If your audience likes to look for information in Kindle book form, then they’re going to find you there if you publish books. Remember, you can publish short books. You can set up forever free options or paid options depending on the software you use.
