After you have your offer, it’s time to create a landing page where you will drive traffic and offer that specific thing… there are 5 essential pieces that must be present on all landing pages in order for them to be compliant (so Facebook will approve them as a destination for your Ads) and likely to convert.
-
- A clear headline. In the most basic terms, you should have something that says “How to ___ without ___” – think about it – what is your offer going to teach them, and what is their biggest pain point? Address those two things in the headline to really hook people and assure them that they are in the right place!
- Above-the-Fold CTA + Optin. You want to ensure that your optin is “above the fold” so that people do not have to scroll down at all when they land on your page – and they should easily spot a clear and strong call-to-action. “Enter your email below” and “Click here” on the button – all above the fold.
- Links (what you NEED and what you should avoid). I recommend that there not be tons of links (in headers, footers, copy, etc.) on your landing page. You want the path of action to be clear and unobstructed. That’s why I don’t build my landing pages on my wordpress website – because my menu and footers are FULL of links that could lead my prospects anywhere. Instead, I build my landing pages on a third party platform – Kartra. With a tool like Kartra you have complete control over the landing pages, so that once your traffic arrives there, they know the exact path they should be taking – if you’d like to learn more about Kartra you can always go to MegBrunson.com/kartra and take advantage of a 14 day trial for just $1 (that is my affiliate link, but it’s a win-win for both of us if you use it)! Even with a landing page tool like Kartra there are a couple links that are required – and these typically go at the bottom of the page in a smaller font, and they are the terms of service and the privacy policy. I also recommend you add a contact link – in case there are issues with the optin, people know who they can email.
- Mobile Optimized. More and more people are using social media (and the internet in general) from their cell phones, which makes it important that your landing page is mobile optimized. (Kartra also makes that process easy!)
- Facebook Pixel. The final thing you need on your landing page is the Facebook Pixel. The Pixel will allow you to optimize your ads for generating leads (and sales down the road), tracking the performance of your ads, and building retargeting audiences that we’ll use later. We’re not going to go into installation here, but you can find some free resources at megbrunson.com/pixel.
